Artillery saber, European (possibly German), ca. 1850s. 861 grams total. 18" from tip to hilt; 1½" at its widest; handle about 5¼" long and 3½" at its widest. Rather heavy antique sword of simple design, with brass handle perfectly intact, the steel blade complete but showing old nicks, a nice display item. Pedigreed to Sedwick Auction 2 (lot 502).
